Isco, whose real name is Francisco Román Alarcón Suárez, was born in Benalmadena, Malaga, Andalusia, on April 21, 1992 (age 25 years). Isco currently plays as an attacking midfielder for Real Madrid. Before playing with Real Madrid, Isco played for Valencia and Malaga.

From Valencia, Isco joined Malaga in July 2011 on a five-year contract. After playing for Malaga for two years, he joined the star-studded club Real Madrid in June 2013 on a five-year contract. Because of his brilliant performance, Madrid still maintains him to this day.

Isco is a product of Spanish football which has a tradition of playing attacking with high-tech short passes. He is starting to find his maturity as an attacking midfielder thanks to Real Madrid, which has world-class players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Macelo and Toni Kroos. Isco is currently one of Real Madrid’s domestic players who are very important in the midst of the flourishing of the capital club’s foreign stars.

Like most Spanish players, Isco is very calm, patient, confident and has high technique. When Madrid’s stars, especially the BBC trio (Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo) were having trouble scoring goals, Isco often burst into stardom by scoring important and decisive goals for Real Madrid. Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane, praised Isco as a future star for Real Madrid. Zidane's statement shows that Isco has the potential and hope to replace the role and star of Ronaldo and several other senior stars in Madrid.

When Real Madrid crushed Deportivo La Coruna 6-2 in La Liga matches, Isco’s charming performance also drew praise from Zidane. Playing without a number of its flagship stars, such as Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale, Madrid played impressively thanks to Isco’s brilliant performances. Isco scored one goal, provided an assist and was involved in four other goals. Isco was pulled off in the 79th minute and was surprisingly applauded by La Coruna supporters.

“It’s rare for an opposing player to get applause and a standing ovation from the home fans. It’s only for players who put on great form. Isco has performed brilliantly and he deserves it,” said Zidane. “He showed that all players can do the same if they want to work hard and don’t get discouraged. I am very happy with the performance he showed.”

With the Spanish national team, Isco also played very impressive several times. One of them, when Spain immersed Italy 3-0 on September 2, 2017 in the 2018 World Cup Qualifying round, Isco scored two goals, which earned him a lot of praise. “Isco is showing an extraordinary game. Isco has always wanted the ball and did well without it. Playing regularly and consistently makes you develop in the world of football. Isco is a great player and has improved a lot this year,” said the coach of the Spanish national team, Julen Lopetegui.

Former Valencia and Barcelona star David Villa admits that he has long known Isco as a quality player. Villa is optimistic that the Real Madrid midfielder will become one of the best players in the world. “I have known Isco for a long time, since he was a child and started training with the Valencia first team,” said Villa. “He is a world class player and he will continue to be a star player because he is young and can keep getting better,” he continued.

Isco’s colleague in the Spanyo national team, David De Gea, even said that the Real Madrid player would be one of the greatest players of all time. According to De Gea, Isco will still do other miraculous things because he is in top form. “Personally I have known Isco for a long time so I am not really surprised by what he did. He is in top form and will do other extraordinary things,” said De Gea, who is also the Manchester United goalkeeper. “He’s at the top level now and that’s good for the team. We hope he continues to improve. I am sure, he will become one of the best footballers in the world.”

Another fellow Isco in the national team, Alvaro Morata, is no less impressed than Isco. “Isco is a phenomenal player. As long as he is happy, we are happy too. The injuries he suffered were minor. We hope he can recover as soon as possible,” said Morata.

Real Madrid back, Raphael Varane, said, “This squad (Real Madrid) is very qualified and everyone has to play their part. There are a lot of games left and we need all the players. Isco has tremendous quality and I love seeing him in action in training or in matches. He has extraordinary talent.” As for Isco’s former Valencia colleague who now plays as Barcelona's left-back, Jordi Alba, also gave Isco high praise, “He is on the same level as the best player in the world ....”
